From July 6-8, the triathlon world will descend on Hawrelak Park for the 2012 Edmonton Triathlon Festival. The festival’s organizing committee is looking for a few good volunteers to ensure a great weekend of triathlon races and continue Edmonton's great legacy of volunteerism for international sports events. Volunteers are needed in areas such as security, media services, race marshals, information booth, athlete services and VIP hosting.

The City of Edmonton will host the 2012 Lifesaving Society's Canadian Pool Lifesaving Championships June 1-3, 2012. Officials and volunteers interested in participating in this event may do so by completing an Expression of Interest Form online.

The Head Coach will be responsible for all duties associated with the successful operation of a competitive university basketball program. Major responsibilities include coaching, recruiting/retention of student-athletes, creation and management of a yearly budget, sports development program and activities, and promotion of positive community and alumni relations.

Key responsibilities of this full time, year-round position include athlete development, including providing personal coaching to identified U23 riders, planning development camps, and maintaining an athlete database, coaching development, including creating a positive, synergistic and cooperative working relationship with Alberta coaches, and overseeing delivery of NCCP, and the provincial team program, including program preparation, coordination, and management.

If you enjoy skating and working with the public, you can make this an enjoyable experience for the public in your spare time. The City is currently recruiting Skate Monitors for their public skating and shinny hockey programs.

The Athletics Coordinator is responsible for the organizing and delivery of Alberta Alpine led programs and projects, coaching education, club education, assisting the Alberta Ski Team coaching staff and assisting the Athletics Director in the delivery of the vision for long term athlete development.

The purpose of this position is general office administration, communications and website maintenance and referee course management.

The incumbent will be responsible for accounts payable & receivable processing, account reconciliation for auditing and assisting the ASA Lead Accountant in achievement of financial objectives of the Association. This is a part time position with flexible hours.

Kidsport Edmonton has been named the charity of choice for the 2012 Canadian Derby Edmonton Marathon presented by Intact Insurance. Volunteers are needed on Race Day - Sunday, August 19th. Volunteers must be available between 6:00am - 3:00pm (shift times will vary depending on where you are placed).
